Camping season is here as we open the camp ground TODAY! You will notice hundreds of blue tubes supporting our newest trees. When you spend time at your site, water the new trees. They are burr oak trees which could also be a learning moment for you and your family as you gather facts about these trees. What a fun family together-time.
When you take a walk, visit the beach or circle the campgrounds, take a sack with you and pick up trash. We don't provide trash containers throughout the park as part of a carry-in, carry-out policy in our state parks. Unfortunately, trash can build up on our beaches and trails. Another activity that benefits everyone.
Are you part of or do you lead a civic organization that is looking for a summer project? The Friends are looking for someone with organizational and networking abilities to volunteer to manage our concessions. Concessions is open on weekends and holidays from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend. Contact us through our email, or leave a message for us at the park office (262) 285-3015.
Free admittance weekend for Wisconsin State Parks is coming up June 2 & 3. A free fishing clinic will be held on Saturday. Sunday, June 3rd is our annual free pancake breakfast in the park from 8am until noon. For these events and more, check this website and our Facebook page often. Summer programs for visitors is in the works!
See you in the park! And have a safe and fun summer!
